Native Americans celebrated the end of harvest season. The Europeans also held festivals for the end of the harvest season. Thanksgiving in American originated from a mix of these Native American and European traditions.
The first Thanksgiving feast featured ducks blown from the sky, slaughtered deer, lobsters boiled alive and clubbed baby seals. Yummy!
